My Dream World

My Dream World

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

My Dream World capitalizes on everyone's unique capabilites; empowering them to stand before kings.

Be these talents: artistic, scientific, futuristic, or simply domestic. Each bell rung for the gifts they bring under an all-embracing Son.

War to no longer litter our shores
with scores of washed-up bodies
of victims--soldiers and civilians galore, fighting for reasons unethical; unpure.
Since, no one's rights would sadly end
just because another's selfishly began.

Given: each person a bit of fertile land
to cultivate for happy families grand
or small. The grounds justly apportioned to accommodate all.

Imagine John Lennon's words about brotherhood; add: Death to greed.
Eliminate hatred for love to seed
like dandelions on a calming breeze. Then locks will find themselves freed. Non-necessary and without keys.

Imagine too an end to disease. For now will be the hour to bury the grave. Mankind thus raised from mourning and pain. Siblings and parents reunited. Their voices to praise the Creator, re-Creator for eternal days.

On an Earth restored.

This is My Dream World.
What about yours?

So It Goes ... Sometimes (Part C)

For the complete story please read Part A and B in the author's notes:

So It Goes Sometimes ... (Part C)

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

The tender eyes
of my heart
always saw
her beauteous
barnacle-like
devotion,

though,
I also witnessed
her fiery ire

like a forceful raging ocean

or a rapidly growing
fearsome dragon
clutching me to her bosom.

Protection, plus
this motherly rush to punish
offending lustful men
inspired by beauty
to ravish in sin.

They pranced like moths
on moonlit plains
draw to her flame
as she danced
them insane.

To tents they would wander
while hay found me
feigning sleep,
but lids slightly slit
allowed me
to curiously peep.

What power laid
in her laugh and her grin?

Would I too cause pleasure
like feathers on wind?

The answers I pondered
from deep down within
the crate where she placed me
for a new life to begin.

The animals entered
docile and meek.
Peace existed
as work they'd complete
storing foodstuffs
to save or to eat

for just how long?
I started to weep.

The smell of sawdust
tickled my nose.
But I maintained silence,
my body staid

froze;

although through vigilance
I contrived to find
a surefire plan to escape
my locked prison box.

This I kept
happily in mind.

Eventually freed
a path lead me
stealthily back
to one who I cherished
and greatly admired.

At such a young age
I'd began to aspire
and learned quickly
how to conspire.

For I'd come to love
and totally adore
the ways
of those
mom proclaimed

God absolutely
abhorred.

Yet, still I longed
to continue to do

what skills daddy
taught me
like mommy
did to him

too.

Organized religion...The Right Way?

Organized religion...The Right Way?

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

"He who is near the church is often far from God," a French proverb says.

Sliding down a solemn pew
this route once cherished;
now vacant with few who value
tradition and rites.

Democracy bettered our plights.
Why should pious ones chain us again?
Use hell to terror the weakened skin?

Are these the questions we battle within?

Maybe the Bible's wisdom is good;
but isn't it tampered by hands
and camouflaged by hoods?

Is this not the way
many have understood?

How about Jesus
rejected by men?
Does our salvation
really on him depend?

Is religion really the righteous way?
What is wrong with the way that I pray?
Especially when I notice hypocrisy's sway,

leading the masses to shut eyes and ears.
To lock down their hearts
and wall up in fear.

Who can one trust in this darkening gloom?
Should I roam on my own,
or with others commune?

Does a God notice
the wickedness today?
Or does he care
as our lives
fade as fumes
on a blustery wind--

swiftly, then invisibly
blown away?

Am I at fault
for feelings that fray
like singed threads:

scorched and burnt
with dwindling faith?

No...Satan has ministers
designed to confuse.

Also, his Father
he has slandered
and his Word
the Bible
abused.

If for real answers
you really will choose

then examine it
for yourself,
you must

as for refreshing
vacations
might you do.

As a experienced
guide

it'll direct you

to which religion
or road
is the right one
to peruse.

For wouldn't you agree:

An endless
joyful
perfect life

on a cleansed earth
renewed

is an expensive gift
to unwittingly lose?

To the Highest Mountains

To the Highest Mountains

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

A breathe-
snatchingly
sublime

lyrical climb.
Its melodious
branches
touching.

Its
limbs
tenderly

miraculously
enlivening
broken or curved
spines.

Causes tears to weave
heart's canals

floating forth on
sorrow's song--

multi-faceted tones
blended
harmonious;
strong.

O how the baby birds
mimick
a parent's strum

on hope's chords
brought by cruelty's
long run.

Stress-laden
lids
wonderously raised

as shoulder-to-shoulder
many lend hands

to hoist or reach
blue moons
in hopeful
unity.

The is how
mystically
music expands:

We jointly seek out
paradasaic lands
on which to crawl
then ultimately stand

escaping
rising red rivers
bleeding
into

agitated seas
of man-made
disbelievers
hardened

through life
and its burdensome
demands.

What can we do?

Continue to let
praises resound.

Lift up
with our voices
directed

heaven bound.

This is one way
joyously
to renew.

What Would You Have Done? ... Part A; Katie ... Part B

What Would You Have Done? ... Part A

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

Constant pounding and proclaiming.
Lord Almighty! His words so draining.
There's a party everywhere.
Why such dire words said to scare?

Can one man proceed so strong

amidst this mighty vicious throng?
Does his family even care
their reputations thus to spare?

Surely, who is he to see

a future dark through prophecy?
Look around you, who does shutter
at these thoughts you choose to mutter?

If I enter that wooden door

just to take a little peek
all my friends and even strangers
will consider me as weak.

But as I watch him carry onward

in intensity he does perform
an enormous occupation
as if for this case he were born.

Could his work, his proclamation

really fill our needs, this void?
Rid the land of degradation?
Can destruction I too avoid?

If I wait closely in shadows

listening for the final horn...

No, I'd much rather chance a deluge

than face their ridicule and scorn.

Katie ... Part B
by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

In a cedar box
punched with holes
inconspicuous

stored

as cargo
for survivors
a beautiful
blue-eyed little girl.

On an ink-stained
papyrus letter
stated why she was
in fact

packed as food stuffs
for the hopeful
instead of travelin
on her mom's back.

"Dear Noah,
I was hoping
that you'll save my little child.

I've been haggling over this decision
for a mighty little while.

You see,

my family thinks
you're foolish.

A lunatic preaching doom
bout 70 yrs.

But I see that you are faithful,
though I'm fearful of my peers.

I have dated mighty men
and have mothered
many sons.

But my daughter
needs protection
from this violence
worldwide
sprung.

Please, provide
for my dear angel.
Give her love,
your full support.

Harbor please
no animosity,
for these plans
I cannot abort.

For courage
is a virtue
that my dear one
needs to seed.

You're a sterling example
for our future prodeny.

Despite this cruel environment
you are righteous in your deeds.

So again, please, dear Noah,
treat her as your family."

Yes, this lovely little letter
composed, as if a poem,
attached to a cage encasing
a beautiful sleeping form.

No longer on a collar
of a dress from birth reformed;
but gently tied to home of leopard;

as dear Katie sought out her mother
and the place where she was born.

Contest rules:

noah built a boat. it supposedly saved the human race.
write me the one poem that you would load aboard that ark in a cedar box, stowed deep, to be read by the ones who come later......
your singular song that you would like to live forever.
you will be fish poop.
everyone you know will
be clam spittle.
but this one poem will survive.
be warned, ye scribers and scribbling ninnies of grand renown and report: i am a catagorical jackknob. and will comment under that presumption. (please, no sucky)

A Flaming Fire

A Flaming Fire

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

In this world
of pen and tongue
around the globe
wars lost or won.

Be them family
or close friends
love can cool;
as enemies
end

when words spew forth
without restraint
relationships crumble
as gossip taints.

Tame this tiny killer rudder?
Dam an ocean waves in motion.
Contain a blazing forest fire
scattering victims in commotion?

Yes, with effort ernest and desire

responsible and accountable
inspired--for which the haughty

Fail to aspire.

Curbed by a bridled tongue
of respect;
highstepping dishonor
by careful circumvent?

An honest try to squash a lie
or bragging sparks flung high

to die

before reputable damage does prevent
healthy relationships and joyful content

should be our endeavor
to our utmost extent.

Don't you agree?

False witness and slandering
against our brothers
invalidates our Creator's decree

for all to dwell together in unity.

Reviling and apostasy
cannot bubble forth consistently
with blessings spoken persistently
as sweet water with bitterness
to any degree.

So as teachers and instructors
we must concern
ourselves with truth taught.
Always our goal: To Earn
the approval
of The Highest.

Of Him
all must learn;

using the tongue
of the taught ones
and in wisdom discern

that words

venomously expressed
in hatred

do burn.

We are what we are, as the scriptures says 'by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned'. (Matthew 12v37)

In this contest I want you to look at the following scripture verses regarding the use of the tongue, choose one and write your masterpiece on it, bring out the importance of God's standard regarding our tongues.
state your chosen scripture text in your Author notes.

' Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.  For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.  If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well.  Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.  So also the tongue is a small member, yet
it boasts of great things.
How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life,[a] and set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,  but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.  With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.  From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.'  James 3v.1-10

Ever Wondered: What Does He Think?

Ever Wondered: What Does He Think?

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

McClintock and Strong stated
the truth: the date is all wrong.
They provided proof.

I watch them all
from my place in heaven
saying they love my Son
I'd provided; I'd given.

And yes,

Sincere hearts
I do observe.

But, commercialism
is also a grate
in my nerves.

Though, faithfulness
I do love
many are content
my desires to shove
aside. As if of no value.

Giving my worship
to enemies
in my name.

Thinking Christ,
my now reigning Son,
is not shamed
by pagans burying

My Light

in their vain attempt
to extinguish

My Flame.

But I will for now
allow them this privilege
of free-will

while searching
honest-hearts
my values

to instill.

One day soon
opportunity
will no longer knock.

The way to earthly
and heavenly
salvation
will then be blocked.

My once heavenly sons,
Satan and his crew
will then be jailed;

but his faithful followers
who persist in shutting their eyes
and believing
I am responsible
for ruining their lives--

propaganda from this one's
convincing lies

will cease to exist.
The numbers great.

In comparison
the faithful--

Few.

This is not my desire,
yet the choice is theirs.

On this I insist.

My Perfect
Love, Wisdom,
Power and Justice

necessitate

That I Do.

Just remember:
I gave my Best:

My Only-begotten

because I want
you to know just
how much

Really Love You.

Your Heavenly Father
