Blanket Us . . . Our Sins

Blanket Us  . . .  Our Sins

by Seah Greenhorn
( Poem with copyright )

Constant groaning
us together. Yes in pain
All Humanity.

Red and yellow
black or white.
Races international
our interrelated family.

We bleed. We grieve
because of reoccurring
tragedies.

Will this end--
this sick cycle

a carousel
revolving
sin, death,

our
suffering?

Is there provided
an escape or key?

Yes, a ransom for salvation.

A death to thick blanket our chilling iniquities.

Lost

this perfect life
filled with plenty.
Endless and peaceful.

One of tranquility.

Needed

a perfect human
faithful

to reestablish

God's
earthly purpose
for all of Adam's
obedient progeny.

So Christ
came

in love was sent.

God let his innocent blood
be violently spent.

His
law of
"life for life"

He covered.

"The wages sin pays is death"
will then rescind.

Just imagine

for example
a town where most are happily employed
at a factory large and gainful.

Every day at ease and lived with joy.

Paided well and living comfortably
you and neighbor's are so well fed.
Until the day the factory closes.

Manager corrupt, he secretly fled.

Bankruptcy followed
after he stole the funds
for himself instead.

All bonds and cd's sold.

Now unemployed,
you and your neighbors.
Bills are mounting to growing hills.
Marriages rocky,
children anxious

as these families crave daily bread.

Creditors harassing
cause more pressure.
All because of one man's greed.

Is this darkness everlasting?
Or will someone fill a need?

Yes!
A wealthy benefactor
decides to intervene.

He appreciates the company's value.
For its many employees and their families feels.

So he compassionately
arranges
to pay off debts
reopen it's factory.

The future hope causing happy squeals.

The cancellation
of this one debt
to the many

relief it brings.

Birds are chirping
in celebration
singing praises

His name
to ring

the bells of justice.

Because
love

insists on equality.

So, likewise

the course we travel
brought about through no fault of our own

Adam’s debt
through Christ's innocent blood
cancelled

benefits untold millions
who choose to serve God
for Eternity.

Ourselves
to gratefully
disown.

Propitiation
Let's look at the biblical word 'PROPITIATION', here's some verses to help you.
Romans 3:25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
Hebrews 2:17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
1 John 2:2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

I am looking for some poetical pieces relating to this word 'Propitiation', telling either what it means and how it applies to our relationship to God or just choose one of the verses listed and write something on that particular verse.
So go for it , looking forward to some real spiritual gems.no Bible bashing
